Employment Income
Please provide us with the following information where relevant:
- P60s and March payslips
- P45 if employment ceased during the tax year
- If you have been issued a P45 and student loan deductions have been made by your former employer, please provide details of the student loan deductions made by your former employer up to the date of your P45
- Any PAYE coding notices received for the tax year
- P11Ds if applicable
UK Property Income
Please provide us the following information where relevant
- Number of rental properties
- State whether these are owned/let solely or jointly
- Whether the properties are interest only or repayment mortgage
- Please provide the details of your rental income and expenses in a spreadsheet
- Certificate of mortgage interest paid for the tax year
Self employment income
Please provide us with the following information where relevant:
- Start date of your self employment
- Please also advise the date if self employment ceased during the tax year
- If you use any online bookkeeping software for your sole trader accounts, please provide us the access to the software when records are up to date
- If you use a spreadsheet to record your sole trader income and expenses, please email us the spreadsheet or upload this to our online portal.
Savings and Investment Income
Please provide us with the following information where relevant:
- Interest income from banks, building societies and other institutions
- Dividends from shares
- Any other savings or investment income
2021/22 Tax Year - Key Dates
5 April 2022 - end of 2020/21 tax year.
31 July 2022 - second payment on account for 2021/22.
31 October 2022 - deadline to submit a paper tax return
31 December 2022 - deadline for the tax to be paid through PAYE tax code
31 January 2023 - tax return deadline for 2021/22 tax return.
31 January 2023 - balancing payment for 2021/22 & first payment on account for 2022/23.
Your self-assessment tax return is due by 31 January following the end of the tax year which ends on 5 April. For example, for the tax year from 6 April 2021 to 5 April 2022 (i.e. 2021/22), the tax return and any tax payable would be due by 31 January 2023.
We would advise you to provide us with your return information as soon as possible so that we can prepare your tax return in a timely manner for your review and approval.
The earlier that you are able to provide us with your information, the earlier we should be able to give you certainty over your finances, speed up any tax repayment that may be due to you, and advise you of any tax payments becoming due.

UK residents are generally taxable on their worldwide income. Please provide the information if you have any foreign source of income.
Capital gains
Please provide us the following initial information in relation to capital disposals where applicable:
- Any contracts related to sales and purchase
- Completion statements for both sales and purchases
- Any other information
Other information
Please provide us with the following information where relevant in relation to your circumstances:
- Contributions made to personal pension scheme
- Did you have a student loan payable during the tax year? If so, please confirm whether it was a Plan 1 or Plan 2.
- If either of you or your spouse received child benefit during the tax year, please provide the following information:
- Number of children for whom you received the benefit
- The total amount of child benefit received during the year
- Are you married or in a civil partnership? If yes, does your spouse earns less than the personal allowances for the tax year?
- Please provide the details of any payments made to charities under Gift Aid schemes
